Oracle Cloud at Customer, allows building cloud architectures that seamlessly combine Oracle Cloud in customer datacenters with Oracles datacenters. You can build a complete cloud with Oracle Cloud on-premises as well as in Oracles datacenters and easily move data and workloads between the two environments.

Site Reliability engineer,
Site Reliability Engineer on the Oracle Cloud at Customer (OCC), shall work on all layers of OCC's cloud - SaaS, PaaS, IaaS. The SRE is responsible for reliability of OCC fleet to provide operational support by collecting fleet metrics, monitoring, configuration management, analysis, mitigation and remediation of all components of OCC per process, operating procedures and adherence to SLA's.
This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service focus, and ability to work in a team as well as independently, ability to learn on the fly, ability to follow procedures, and ability to suggest improvements to existing procedures as appropriate
Tooling: Existing Tools, utilities shall be leveraged to provide solution to benefit OCC fleet reliability.
Develop automation or scripts in shell, python to provide solution wherever appropriate like gathering metrics in fleet, monitoring, analysis, mitigation or remediation to issues/defects.
Strong Linux (Oracle Linux, RedHat Linux) administration skills is a MUST with skills on
- Docker container troubleshooting, management, provide solution using docker.
- SSH, NTP, DNS, NFS, VNC, FTP/SCP, kernel upgrade, patches, kernel param updates, log management, Yum repo configuration, management, logging/audit configuration, User/account management, Services administration and monitoring. File system management: LVM, SAN/iscsi storage administration.
- Linux network troubleshooting, network tools usage like tcpdump, wireshark, iptables, iperf, proxy etc.,

Other desired skills,
Oracle Database Administration or any RDBMS administration skills with SQL query script development experience.
DevOps, strong knowledge & experience in developing & deploying Ansible playbooks providing solutions to wider systems.
Network administration: Experience in configuring & troubleshooting Juniper, Cisco switches, backup/restore switch configurations, VLANs, STP, LACP, SNMP, GRE Tunneling etc.,
Linux System Administration certification or any other related certification a plus
Certification in Networking (CCNA, JNCP) a plus
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
6 or more years experience providing operations support for enterprise environments.
ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.

Candidate will be responsible for delivering Network administration and engineering system services to customers. The candidate will also be responsible for interacting with customer counterparts on a regular basis and serving as the technology expert on the customers behalf. This service is delivered via remote support and the candidate should be able to work in an independent environment while interacting with other team members remotely.
This position requires participation in a 24x7 schedule that requires working on either Saturday or Sunday.
The candidate should have a valid drivers license and a passport for the ability to travel upon request.
